I love the chance to show others a little piece of beauty they might otherwise have overlooked... to allow people to see for a moment through my eyes. My mind will often view the moments around me in snapshots.. everything around me becomes composed and cropped into a photograph. It is perhaps a bit like tunnel vision, however, it gives me the opportunity to hone in and focus directly on an otherwise overlooked moment of beauty or laughter or reflection.
Photography literally means to write with light, and if you ponder that for a moment it is almost like having the job of a super hero *smile*. To command the light to be captured into a tiny frame and to speak and communicate that which I desire it to. But most of the time, I am simply blessed to have the opportunity record exactly what was already being said by the play of light on my subject.
I am extremely grateful to be able to set out for a day of work and find myself enjoying every moment, and to be continually challenged in a field where there is every opportunity to continue learning perpetually. I am grateful to my God for the gifts that come every day from His heart of benevolence. And in turn, it is my hope that these talents will bless you.
